I have removed the Tank Emblems on my 2011 Ultra which is Merlot & Black . I want to remove the Graphic that remain will the tank have to be taken completely down or is there clear between?

 

The stripe on my 11 Merlot road glide is under the clear. If your graphic is smooth or near smooth you can sand it with 600 and spray black over it if you don't sand thru the clear on top of the graphic then apply black. I would then add a new graphic or not and clear the entire tank.

 

Thanks I am hoping I do not have to repaint the entire tank.
