Default How to remove previous owners paint

So I bought my 14 Ultra limited used. The previous owner painted a bible verse on the tour back back lip. Doesn't look like its clear coated, maybe just used a paint pen? Any thoughts on remove it? Thanks!

If it's not cleared you could try some acetone on a rag. If that doesn't work you would have to sand it off.

I would get some 1500 grit paper and lightly wet sand the letters off, that way if you get a little into the factory clear, you can use rubbing compound then polish and wax. I wouldn't use acetone, that might soften your factory paint.

Acetone is a last resort option in this situation. Take it to a paint shop and have a pro do it.

Try a clay bar first it may work. If not use 2000 grit paper try wrapping it in some kind if block rubber if possible then sand carefully. once off polish and wax

Clay bar probably wouldn't work but I would use 2000 grit wet. It won't eat thru your clear coat as bad and that can be easily buffed out. The acetone probably wouldn't harm the factory paint if used sparingly but the wet sand will do the trick. Good luck.
