Just got my FLHX and it has pinstriping from Chuck Llewellen on it, to be honest, not a fan, but it seems his work is pretty regarded from what I can tell, kinda feel bad about taking it off. Question is, I run my hands over it, and it feels perfectly smooth, is this normal for pinstriping or does it probably have a clear coat over it? Never really seen handpainted stuff, just the decals. Trying to figure out exactly what I'm dealing with before I dive in.

if it feels smooth it's most likely has clear coat over it.

 

Odds are if you can't "hang a fingernail" on the stripe it's buried under clear ...
