I live in the western suburbs of Chicago and was looking for a good company to use for powder coating a few parts of my bike. It's ab2017 Street Glide Special and the first thing I can immediately think of is the chrome crash bars. After that there's probably plenty more to due. I didn't mention it's denim black.

 

I can highly recommend The Powder Pro. They are located in Woodstock. I used their service several times. Top quality. Ask for Joe. It's not that close from Bolingbrook, but you will be not disappointed. PM me if you want their phone number.

 

Powder pro Tim, has been MIA for like 10 months. Has some parts of mine i sent in December 2016 and he never returned them, never emailed or called me back. He has a lot of peoples stuff. I even had someone go there, and the place was all locked up. Musta gotten locked up or something, because he is nowhere to be found or heard from and is a crook!

 

I ended up using Fresh Start Custom Coating in Palatine. I will report back as soon as it's done. Price is definitely strong for crashbars only for now.

Joe was always the person I remember at The Powder Pro. He was always on the forum. Does anyone know what happened to him?

I see there is a Joe associated with J&J Powder Coat. Does anyone know if this is the Joe I'm talking about that perhaps has switched companies?

 

I ended up using Fresh Start Custom Coating in Palatine and they did an amazing job for a very good price. Highway bars gloss black from chrome for $85. Owners name is Mark and have probably 100 color and finish options.

 

Powder Pro used to be an HDF sponsor, then they disappeared quite some while ago - Joe aka JRK5892 got banned, not clear why!

 

It’s been a month now and costing still looks flawless. If there are enough people in the area interested I’m sure he would be HD Forum sponsor. Four things amazes me about them: quality, turnaround time, amount of colors and finishes, and price.

Let me know if anyone else is interested in him and have him apply. Not sure if he needs the business, but these days who doesn’t.
