Stretching a Crossbones front fender
I’m new to the forum, and guessing this would be the best place to post this. Didn’t see a bodywork/fender section. I’m in the process of repainting my 2010 Crossbones and am contemplating stretching the front fender. I already have a larger rear fender and want to balance the bike a little bit.
I haven’t found an aftermarket front fender that matches the radius properly. So I’m considering getting another stock Xbones front and sectioning two 3”-5” pieces to lengthen it. Has this been done before? Thoughts? Seems doable with a little bit of finishing to get it right. Or looking for other options as well, but want to retain the stock front fender mount. Thx |
Should be an easy task for any decent bodyshop. I did the same with a Street Bob rear fender crossing it with a Fat Bob rear fender.
