Replacing fender strut covers, black or chrome?

Replacing fender strut covers, black or chrome?
So just figured I'd do a random poll, the chrome fender strut covers on my 98 electra glide classic are fairly well corroded. I was just going to buy a replacement pair off ebay and came upon a dilemma.
I could get much better condition used chrome ones, or I could get black ones.
The original are chrome, so for authenticity I could stick with those, and the ocd in me kind of leans that way. Price is within $5 either or so that's not a factor.
BUT, I'll never ride without the saddlebags(attached the turn signal lights to them so it's kinda the law), so that covers the side of them, and the pillow seat over top covers most of the rest of them, so if I get the black it's not like it's real noticeable, and less to have to polish, and the carpal tunnel in me leans that way.
I'm on the fence, a coin flip could make the difference, thoughts?
