Default Color-rite pen for denim

Has anyone tried the touch up paint pen from Colot-Rite to “fix” a scratch?
I’ve got a scratch on my black denim saddlebag, and a paint pen would be easier to apply than using a brush as provided with touch up paint from the dealer.

I’m going to get a rattle can of plasti dip to blacken my chrome ignition switch to get the glare in my eyes. I’ll try this on my scratch, by spraying on cardboard then using toothpick to apply on scratch. Will let you know how this works.

Got my repair kit. Followed the instructions to a “T”. Color didn’t blend well to the adjacent factory finish and is too dark. The only step remaining is rubbing compound after 5 day’s. Hope it at least evens the depth of the paints out. Should have just left it alone. Looks like I will have to take it too a shop.

I just finished plasti dipping ign switch and fuel door. Not well done. I would need more practice to get decent at this. End result was very rough finish and too dark. If I were to do it again, I’d find spot with Stiller air so I could keep spray can further from target (8-10 inches, so it’d be smoother) and fewer coats (3 rather than 5, for a lighter hue).

for now, I removed the plasti dip except from where it covers the decal part of the switch (this was source of worst glare and it peeled off nicely from other areas). I bot a black fuel door...

i wont use plasti dip on saddlebag scratch or any other painted part. Someone else might be talented enough for that, but not me.
