2007 Dyna Black Engine

Looking at an ‘07 Dyna Superglide that looks like totally blacked engine and transmission. As well as primary and timing cover. I’m only seeing it in pictures and ask if Harley produced them this way or should I assume it was painted over black?

I don't know the answer, but I checked Ronnie's online microfiche (http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....artsfinder.htm) and they don't list a black inner or outer primary cover. Not a definitive answer, but might help.
