2003 Ultra Shrine. The seller dropped it, and the bag lids are scratched badly, the tour pack needs some cracks fixed and painted, and the batwing has rash on the far right. Somehow the gods spared the tank. How hard is it to paint white pearl? I've painted some in the past, but never anything fancy like this. I assume it is a base coat and a top coat, and also assume clear would have to be a third coat and not mixed into the top coat? My mind is running between making simple aerosol cans, to buying the chemicals and making a makeshift booth as I have the paint equipment Any tips, ideas? I am just doing this for some summer fun.

ALSO, microfiche says "White Pearl" but I believe there are other ones like "Glacial White Pearl" and "Gold White Pearl." Anyone know the actual paint codes for this one?

 

I found White Hi-Lite Pearl 92151/92152 for 2003. Probably the one but don't know for sure. My local PPG store will mix a small quantity like a half pint to see if it will match then make more in the same can if its good. They don't have color chips for Harley and I have to pay for anything they mix. Colorite paint online has the same paint listed, they have their own numbers. For white after sanding I use white epoxy primer, white base coat, white pearl coat then clear. No pearl in the clear. I would be repainting entire panels white pearl then clearcoat. I doubt you will have much luck spot painting white pearl. I find painting white and pearl easy except it's very hard to keep dirt off while painting and always shows up on white.
