Protect tank from where knees rub

Need some advice on options on how to protect my paint from where my knees rub. From years of racing and hugging the tank with my knees I still struggle trying to keep them off the tank on my streetglide.

Looking for option / ideas on the best way to protect the tank and paint

Then the best way to clean it up and revitalize the paint and shine

Thanks for the input..... And yes I know the best way is to not hug the tank with my knees, but old habits can be hard to break......working on it.
