Default Tank Emblem Paint Peeling

I have an '03 Road King, Anniversary model. Some of the black paint on the left side tank emblem has peeled off. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions on a quick fix? I'm thinking of using some black touch-up paint and a tiny brush to fill it in.

Here is a picture. The peeling is only around the bar and shield logo. Thanks in advance for any input.

I do not see sh*t. Could be your photo. Is that emblem a sticker?

If I am fixin paint I am getting it done by a pro. I am not stickin touch up on my Bike.'

I Luv my Sporty and would rather get the tank completely repainted than crap it up with a touch up brush.

It's not the tank that's peeling, but rather the black portion of the actual emblem (look to the left of where it says "Motor" and to the bottom right of where it says "Cycles"). The emblem is made of plastic/metal, but it sticks to the tank, I believe. The new emblem is like $83, but 100 year parts are getting harder and harder to find, and I'm not sure if $83 is worth it if the same thing is likely to happen to the new emblem.

Wow I have not seen that happen with the newer emblems. I have a few of those emblems I have removed from tanks I've painted and the emblems always look great but those bikes are starting to get old. The only thing you can really do is remove as much of the lifted paint as possible and touch it up.
Be sure to use a paint that dried shiny. Test out the touch up paint first, to make sure to dries and looks the way you want it to.

That is definitely a candidate for touching up. Use an enamel based paint as it is easy to clean up any excess with a q-tip or rag wrapped tightly around your fingertip and dampened with enamel reducer or mineral spirits.

I just noticed one of mine peeling about a week ago. It's an 03 FLHT. I'm not too sure if it has anything to do with using one of those spray on bike washes for the first time, but I did use one a short time before. I could see it did quite the number on the asphalt, can't imagine what kind of effect it had on the paint. Let me know what works, I'd like to touch mine up.
