I have an '08 flhtc with abut 28,000 miles on it. I had the motor built to a 103 when it was new. I change all three fluids annually. I have done regular tire and brake maintenance. The bike seems to be running just fine. I have never been a fan of Harley's take the bike in every couple of thousand miles for way too much money check ups.

My question is this...is there any maintenance on any of the drive train that is required? I was told the clutch is self adjusting so let it be. I don't want any mechanical problems down the road but neither do I want to throw thousand away on unneeded check ups. Your thoughts?

 

Look in your owners manual. There is a chart of things to check, replace or tighten every 5000 miles.
