Default Lock up clutch

Does a lockup clutch increase the holding power at low rpms or just higher rpm?

Using the principles of centrifugal weight, its ability increases in the upper RPM limits. That's why top-fuel dragsters run a similar set-up.

Depends on the springs and weights.

From Barnett Clutches:

It starts working about 2200 RPM. As the revs go up the harder it squeezes.

If you run stiffer springs it will still come on at the same time but the stiffer springs will work better with a high horse power engine.Heavier weights will make it come on earlier but we do not offer any. You can machine them down to be lighter but wont lock up till higher in the engines.
