Ok so I have a 2013 blackline fxs. I changed out the handle bars along with all the cables. I got everything put back together and when I started it I hear a different noise from the primary almost a loud humming. And my check engine light came on and stays on. It was not on prior to the swap. Do yall think it can come from not adjusting the cable,throttle, or idle lines correctly???? Please help... Thx ben

 

First thing to do is check the codes to see what caused the CEL and then go from there as it will give you a place to start. If the noise is indeed coming from the primary and is related to your cable change, it would not be the throttle cables, but the clutch cable.

 

I'm pretty dang sure I adjusted the clutch cable correctly. To do a cel check where could undo it other than the stealer ship I also have a Ty's master tune I've been playing with... Plz help

 

You check the codes through the speedo using the speedo trip reset button. Directions can be found on this forum. Search how to check codes.
