I guess I'm just venting a bit here but at least now after I have the S.E. Comp. installed I would hope I will be good for a bit..!

You may want to consider a manual chain adjuster as well if your inner primary bearing went already, chain probably got too tight. Here is ours:

Go with the manual adjuster. Check it maybe once a year. No more worries.
