Default Neutral light issue w/ Baker N1-OD6

The Harley part number you want is the 33902-98. Does the light go out when you are in neutral?

no, light is on all the time, tried to shim it out, but still couldn't get light to go out
to clarify-stock black body switch -no light, silver body switch (listed for Evo models) light always on

The switches are either normally open or normally closed if the light is on all the time something else is going on there. The switch you need, the 33902-98 is a normally closed switch meaning it is in contact with the drum in every gear but neutral. In neutral it drops into a divot and closes the contact to light the light. It sounds like you have a normally open switch that is not opening enough in the neutral position.

Did you get the switch from Harley?

It is not a Harley switch, the shop ordered the switch, will get the Harley switch and see if it solves the problem, Thank You!
a little concerned that with either switch, I have no light everywhere, or lit everywhere.

If as Mark says it a normally closed switch, then here is the one you need.

For the stock configuration up to 99 should be a silver switch and 2000-06 should be a black switch.
