While out riding my 00 roadking it guit pulling engine revved and I coasted to side of the road though it was final drive belt but it's still intact and I have nothing for forward gears any guess as where to start thanks for your help

 

Shifter pawl may be broke( that's the piece that the shift lever hooks to).

Check the drive pulley too. The splines may be stripped out.
