Hey guys, my 91 Heritage cracked the inner primary right above the stator. Seemed like an odd place for it to crack as this is not an area where any force would be applied. Judging by the fact that there are no used ones for this model for sale I'm assuming this is a common failure? Anyone heard of this before or what may be causing it? Thanks

 

Welcome to HDF from the UK. Harley only made around 50k bikes that year, they make 5 times that many these days, so secondhand parts are not so common. Okay I'll see if the EVO section folks have heard of this before. I sort of figured I would need to purchase either new or aftermarket to replace it, just looking to learn what might have caused it to crack in the first place. Thank you
