Default Freakin' Rattle At Shifter Linkage on 98 RK

I would like to illiminate the rattle at the shift linkage while idling. The linkage has about 1/8"-1/4" play. I think some is needed due to rubber mounted engine.

Is there a fix for this?

Also, who makes a better looking shifter linkage (rod) and swivel mounts. The MoCo is very plain...

There are several to choose from in the HD P&A catalog along with the J&P catalog and along with the Drag Specialties Fatbook catalog. Or you can read up on the subject by using the search function in the upper right corner on all the forums here.

Hows the shift lever? Is it tight on the shifter pawl?
