Default Burning clutch

Drove around D.C. Yesterday in the heat in stop and go traffic on my 2014 softail slim. A lot of stop and go driving. This morning when I started it I smelled burning rubber. I think it is the clutch. Anyone else have this happen? Ideas to fix? Warranty just ran out.

It seems tone functioning alright but there is a heavy burning smell. Had the clutch adjusted at 5,000. Now at 7,800 miles. No leaks everything is tight.

Did you smell it this morning before you started the engine?

could Be the stator starting to burn up just not totally burned out yet. The only reson I say that is because I opened up my primary to change the oil and smelled a funny burning smell and thought it was my clutch, how ever everything worked fine so I changed the oild and went for a weekend ride. on my way home I noticed it was not charging and all my lights were getting dim. It died on me. Once I got it home and started checking things I opened up the primary and that smell was there only allot stronger now. What I found was one of the wires on my stator had burned up. and was not connected to the stator.

Clutches are not rubber. Tires and belts are. Look there.
