Compensator
#2
No but I'm at the dealership right now and they are replacing mine on my 2016 Limited. Freaking knew it was bad 3 weeks ago when I was here but service writer Matt said "oh man that ***** normal". Yeah right!
Kyle the other service writer heard it this morning when I came in and he instantly said "Jon you have a bad compensator "!
Kyle and Erick the mechanic who works on my bike are the only reason I come back here!
BTW I'm at HD of Waco Texas

Compensator
Here's some pics of my Compensator, everything looks well lubricated and no galling. Another improvement is the lube holes in the sprocket retainer and slots in the sprocket. The only thing I can't check is the height of the spring pack. Have to buy a new one to compare. Rotating the cam is smooth. Now what to do, new spring pack or solid Compensator?

Compensator Revolt!
I SERIOUSLY think it's time for a class action lawsuit against the company! This ****'s been going on since 2009. The dealer put in 2 compensators on that bike. Then I bought a 2012, but NO problems, ever! Then like a dumb ***, I bought a 2015. After 2000 miles, it all started again! Only after they shimmed it, they said "there's nothing else we can do". Even under warrantee! I called corporate and talked to a rep. there for 27 minutes. I asked him if they had left-over compensators from 09 that were thrown in the production line just to see if any complaints came in. The H-D customer service Rep. didn't say yes, BUT he also didn't say No either. He was just quiet. Hmmm.?
Anyway, the 17's are upon us and the Co. hasn't fixed there problem yet!!!
The real problem is, WE keep buying their **** products! So, they keep building them cause they know we'll continue to support their worthless efforts! So, if there is a way we can start a Class Action Lawsuit, I think it's a good time to entertain that Thought.
What good is a warrantee if the issuing Company doesn't honor it?
