Default 2015 Road glide S 1st gear issues...

Seems very intermittent, but there are times when coming off of a stop it feels like the clutch is chattering? It is like I am trying to walk it out of 2nd? I was out this weekend and my friend was also having the issue on his 2016. Its almost like the rear cylinder isn't firing even though the option for this is disengaged? I wholly believe it is a software issue? I was complaining about this last year, left my bike with the dealer who was like "there is definitely something wrong!" and after 2 weeks- "we didn't find anything, everything is within tolerance." 2 weeks later I got the recall notice and had it done which hasn't changed a thing. I also installed the SE spring?? Anyone else having the experience??

Did you own a 5 speed before purchasing this bike? The reason I ask is 1st gear is much taller in the 07 and later 6 speed bikes so maybe you are just not used to it.

I had to get used to mine. I hated the hydraulic clutch when I first started riding it.

Yes, I had a 2006 bagger. While discussing with my friend it seems too intermittent? We both did say maybe it is a relearn on the throttle/clutch but even with a double clutching it stutters, shutters and seems like it is going to die. Ill pay more attention to it. Plus Im on my softail a lot around town so this may be what is going on. I unfortunately believe it is something else....

Back at it again, Now the clutch s slipping pretty bad when hot. I had this thing in the shop a couple of times the first year I had it, then the 2 recalls and now the dam thing slips so bad it almost unridable. I have an energy one sitting in the garage.. it is going in over the weekend. Anyone else having issues? I still think this is all related...

Cool Heavy spring ...

i installed the S/E spring
you said you installed the heavy spring ...why??? and who did it ..??? if the clutch spring is out of alignment it may be causing this also ...(one or more of the spring fingers stuck up on top of the screw towers ) ...when tightening down the pressure plate ...

I had the dealer do it while they did the recall. Because my issue has always been the clutch not engaging quick enough. This is what I have been experiencing, and now the slippage.. something aint right.

Is it a chatter as you are letting out the clutch or after the clutch is all the way out?
