Default Dry clutch change in shovelhead???

Have bought a 75 shovelhead and has the belt drive and oil line eliminated already... oil got inside clutches *** I replaced the tranny seal was leaking... my clutches are kind of soaked with oil.. Will brake clean work for cleaning oil out or any other suggestion will work to clean oil of clutch fibers. Thanks ride on!

Wink

We have a Shovelhead section, where you should get a reply to that. I got oil on my '74 clutch plates, many years ago, and boiled them in detergent, which worked, but there may be a more modern way available today!
