hey guys Iam new to this site. looking for info or direction on my 97 roadking clutch
I installed a barrette clutch kit yesterday and I adjusted the adjuster according to the manual and I can't get thd cable tight at all any ideas why ? the clutch pack and spring all seem to go back together fine.

 

The cable could be stretched were you having issues before you installed the clutch kit?
Did you pull the right side cover to make sure the cable is still attached?

 

I didn't take the other side apart and no I didn't have really bad problem before I could tell if wax needed it was slipping and I ajusted it z few times recently
you see I just bought thd bike a few weeks ago. from a friend of mine I drove it about 500 kms or 250 miles changed the oil and found that the primary oil wax very low and then it started not to go into nutrel and was hard to down shift into the lower gears I ajusted. it a few times and I knew it was damaged from prob low oil, so I orderd the new kit on eBay. half the price from the dealership, I agree with you on the cable on the right side I'll check it out. that's what it feels like for sure thznks a lot for your reply I'll try and put z picture of my bike on here!! not very good at this stuff but thanks for your patience. and understanding
