Does anybody know what this is? It came in my baker transmission rebuild kit for a 2008 raod glide, i asked baker and they said it is a spacer for the main drive gear but when taking apart my transmission i never had one of these in there. Any detailed help would be much appreciated.

 

That is the spacer for the main drive gear but. It is to keep the bearings from walking together.

 

mark thanks for your help i have one more question i have a a picture where the top shift fork on the countershaft does not seem to be engaging into the top gear is this normal? When turned it drops right down into the slots below

 

It will only be engaged when in 4th gear.
