Barnett spring conversion

Barnett spring conversion
Helped a buddy install a Barnett spring conversion kit. I noticed that the screw adjuster did not screw in as smooth as the stock Harley one. Difficult to figure out where it just sat to then back it off 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
Anyone else have experience with this?
It's a non hydraulic clutch unit on a 2012 Road King Classic.

I did end up putting oil on the screw. Didn't make much difference but I did turn it in until the plate moved and then backed it out like you said. Barnett's tech said that the screw should turn as easy as the stock one but that ain't so. I'm not saying that it requires a lot of effort but definitely does not turn as easy as stock.
