Default Noise from primary????

Replaced the compensator with an SE version on my 2009 Streetglide a week and a half ago. Now on start up every once in a while I get a sound like a dog yelping. I was in the Blue Ridge Mountains for a week so really could not take it apart to look. Hoping to get some ideas as to what it might be before I dig into it this week. Did a search and didn't come up with any results of the sound, only about the large clunk and hard starts due to the compensator.

The only other things I can think of is that something is not assembled right or the starter clutch is starting to go. Being an 09, if the inner primary bearing is bad, the clutch hub can rub the inner case. It might yelp.

New inner primary bearing, inner primary bearing race and seal. I replaced it all when I installed the new SE compensator.

Check your chain tension, if it's too tight it will put the ring gear on an angle.

Thanks Mark. I will check that. I did use the stock Harley auto tensioner.
