Clutch cable leak....
Hey, I have a 2 year old Barnett clutch cable on my 98 Fatboy. After installing, I guess I didn't have it secured properly and the clear plastic coating on the outside was burned by the exhaust. I might get a drip or 2 in a day. Not a big leak but I know it's there and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to seal it up? A new one is over a hundred and I'd rather not if I didn't have to... Thanx...

Black RTV. But just were is the fluid coming from. I have seen cables appear to leak from oil that gets away from you when you do a filter and getting into that outer protective tube that is over the actual sheeth that protects the spiral wrap metal sheeth over the the actual clutch cable which rides in another Teflon or some form of actual bearing surface for the cable.

Yea, I'm leaning that way. When I do it I'll heat the cable casing first then slip the shrink tube over it and torch it down.... I'm sure Napa has the good stuff....

Seal-All:

Had a gas tank leaking on an old S-15. I put this on while it was leaking, kinda of bubbled up but it stopped the leak. Drove it for a couple years like that before I sold it. Hell it might still be on there.
