Witch compensator to get?
hey guys I have a 07 street bob and it makes a terrible grinding noise when I go to start it when it’s up to temperature so I’m gonna put a new starter clutch in my starter and while I’m there the only way to be sure it won’t grind is to replace the compensator and primary starter bearing. Which compensator do you guys think I should get and is there any other upgrades I should do while I’m at it? I’m a daily wrenched but it on big rigs, cars, and trucks but don’t have a lot of knowledge with harleys
I appreciate and advise I can get with this

A buddy of mine has a 2005 Electra Glide Classic. He was having strange sounds in his primary case, thought it was a bad compensator.
Took the primary cover off and it was a loose primary sprocket nut. With the nut being loose the compensator spring had collapsed a little. Replaced spring, used red loctite on the nut and put it back together. Runs great again.
You might give Mark at Bakers a call, he will guide you in the right direction if needed.
