Fatboy shifts from first to second hard when cold but when warmed up is fine! Any thoughts please?

Probably, the clutch needs adjusted. However, not all Harley's are the same. Add a signature line on year and model. If it's idle adjustable carb, maybe your idle is too high.

And welcome to the forum. Once we get more details, we can fix you up.

Yea, try a full clutch adjustment at basket and perch. Also, what fluid are you running in primary and trans?

Your really need a service manual but can use a YouTube if you pick a good one. Back off the lever on the cable slightly. Then remove the derby cover and break locknut at the clutch and screw in adjusting screw to no play and then couple turns on it to deburr thread and then back out and the in to no play. Now using lever, lever and check using screw for no play and then, back off 1/2 to 3/4 turn and snug lock nut. Change fluid since it's open to Formula+. New gasket on derby cover. Adjust cable back up so lever (perch) just has 1/32 play checked at both turns of bar.

I’d recommend Form+ in the primary (especially if you have an SE comp), but I’d run a gear oil in the trans as opposed to syn3. I use an 85/140 like Lucas, Royal Purple or the like.
