It is because of the triangular pattern of the ramp with the larger circumference bearings that do reduce the amount of slop between the two.
It's not that they increased lift it increases the ratio (amount of cable pull compared to lift) less pull to get the same amount of lift but because I have some lever left I can get more lift or movement. The side cover and ramp can allow up to .130" of movement till the ramp tops out at the snap ring.
And no my ***** do not climb out of the groove... Lol....
