It's not that they increased lift it increases the ratio (amount of cable pull compared to lift) less pull to get the same amount of lift but because I have some lever left I can get more lift or movement. The side cover and ramp can allow up to .130" of movement till the ramp tops out at the snap ring.

And no my ***** do not climb out of the groove... Lol....
So it's the radial slop between the 2 plates..
