Default Inner Primary Sealant

I have a 2001 Ultra and am going to be putting my inner primary back on. What and where should I use to seal the 5 bolts that are inside the primary? It looks like there was a small amount of sealant where the bolt holes mate with the engine case and the transmission.

If the bolts don't have a rubber o-rings on them (not sure what year they started using them)the manual says to use Permatex "ultra black" its a maximum oil resistant sealer.

Lots of sealant options. Make sure you remove all the old sealant and there is no oil in the bolt bore; it will not compress and some have blown out the bottom of those bolt holes. Chase the threads with a thread chaser if you have one, if not, use a tap and blow the hole out. Thread chaser is better than a tap an the chaser isn't meant to cut threads but a tap is OK, just don't do it every time.

I've used 3 bond case sealer, the black and red high temp sillycone. All work fine for this app. I don't bother with the thread chasing but use a small nylon brush on a drill and a little brake-clean. I blow out with a compressed air skinny nozzle that fits down inside the holes.
