Big problems
I went on a ride on 1990 HD Electra Glide Ultra Classic FLHTCU. Bike lost movement power. I know it is the clutch basket. Here is where things went South really quick. 1. All the oil from Primary found it's way into motor. Oil in motor ended up being over full by the end and the primary was dry. Well I trailered bike home. Figure the oil going where it should not have is possibly hole or crack in block. But there is the rest of the problem. I go to remove clutch basket. When I put socket on the nut (big nut) reversed threads instead of nut coming loose. The front (center) of the clutch basket turns very easy when I attempt to turn nut to remove basket. I KNOW THIS CANNOT BE GOOD. So question, how is blue blazes do I get this darn thing off, and could something be broke inside clutch or where nut is at??? Please help me.

Put the bike in 5th gear and stomp on the brake. Use an impact wrench. Might need help.

Thanks for the help on getting clutch basket off. The 5th gear and brakes worked like a charm. Got into basket, the plates are fried and broke. I know I have got to replace them. When the inner part of clutch was turning, did it or could it have damaged the clutch assembly it self? Do I need to replace entire clutch basket or just plates is what I am trying to figure out now.
