I bought a ultima thunderfire starter 2.0kw and a wildrider jackshaft assembly. Problem is when I put the jack shaft on the starter shaft the jackshaft bolt appears to be too short. I looked at another bolt I had and it is the same size. Question is it looks likethere is one size of threads in the starter shaft and then about 1/4 inch is a smaller size threads that the bolt threads into. I have tryed everything and it looks like some of the starter shaft needs to be cut off. Anyone ever had to do this anny help would be great.

 

I purchased one of these starters and installed it with no problem. It came with an extra shaft that was longer than the stock one. This is the shaft that you need to use. I can't remember why, but I do remember that it had something to do with the smaller threads on the tip.

If yours didnt come with two different size shafts, then I would contact the seller and tell them that they need to send it to you.

 

They didnt send me the right shaft but I have the right one now thanks.
