Looking for assistance. I want to install a speed sensor on my 89 FXR trans to replace the cable drive and use a dakota digital speedo/tach with minimum hassle. No real problem stripping transmission - but help in how to do it, type of sensor, location of sensor would be a great help.

have same digital speedo on my 88 fxrs, but sensordoesn't go to the tranny, sensor is located on back wheel and it senses off bolts to back sprocket, don't really care for this model speedo, can seem to keep trip meter an d mileage correct, speed indicator works great an look good, bought the bike used with it on it, let me know if i can help more
