Default Did I mess up? Primary adjustment?

I was changing all my fluids and noticed the Primary chain was loose.... 1" loose! I adjusted it to 1/2 to 5/8 and now I have no clutch free play at all. The clutch is tight but will not release with the handle. Do I just readjust the cable and go on or is there somthing wrong?

Did you use a chain tension tool to check the tension? HERE's a good video on adjusting the tension. I would also do a complete clutch adjustment and not just the cable adjustment.
