Hey guys (& girls of course).
I own an '81 fxb with a 1340 shovelhead that recently got stuck in 4th gear.
Wasn't sure exactly what happened but figured a fork jammed or something of that nature.
Long story short, I stripped it down & took the tranny out & discovered that the snap ring on the shifter cam had popped. I'm now putting Humpty-Dumpty back together again & really just need the basic rundown for reinstalling everything.
I have the service manual but of course it's all in segments & I really don't want to put things on & then have to take them back off because I missed a step.

So far I've reinstalled the trans (loosely), foot rest & rear brake pedal, oil tank, drive belt is on (loosely), primary cover is on.

I believe next step should be the clutch & hub & primary belt, then realign the transmission & rear wheel & then on to starter, selinoid etc, but don't want to f up the order.
Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.
