Default Part number vs casting number

I am looking at a few inner primarys on eBay. ( I need a new one for my tired old FLH Classic ). I have verified the correct part number I need. But the ads seldom give the actual part number (60432-94), it seems to be a casting number, of which there are many (usually 60677-xxx, or something like that). My question is; is there a part number stamped on the primary somewhere? Or will I only find the casting number? Are the model specific primary parts all the same for a certain range of years? I know some of you out there actually know what you're talking about, so lend me a hand and I'll owe you a beer!
Thanks for input.
Cheers, FLHFXD.

disregard.. got it from your other post.

this is what you need but if my memory serves me correctly, there are quite a few years that used the same inner primary and primary cover so the casting numbers will be different but the fitment will be correct.

60677-94A

do yourself a favor and call Rob @ 703-476-6607 and tell him what you're looking for. He'll send you the CORRECT part.

Default I think I got it

The dude says he's got 60677-744 off of a 2000 FLHR. I need one for a 1994 FLHTC and I think the only diff is, one has a grease nipple for the trans shifter, and one doesn't. So I think I'll put in a bid as it is quite low and to buy new they are over $500.00 bucks. Too rich for my Newfie blood.
Cheers, Flhfxd.

Rob is a used HD parts dealer and to my knowledge doesn't sell new parts. I know he sells rebuilt bikes also. I've bought a couple of things from him in that past WAY below what they retail or sell for on eBay.. worth a phone call anyway.

never seen a number like 60677-744.. they're usually something like 60677-74A (usually ending with a letter)

Default You're right

I read it too fast, it is a xxxxxx-94A.
Thanks for the contact. That's the kind of help I can use.
Cheers, Flhfxd.
