I need a replacement 6 speed trans for my FXR. I am going to put the best trans in my bike that I can buy. What is your support experience with Baker? Any company is great where there is no problems but when something does go bad, that is where the companies separate themselves. How is Baker when problems arise? I am asking for your experience and not what you read or heard from someone else.

I have been battling with a 6 speed Revtech for a few years now on and off. I have taken it to a local shop who is an authorized Revtech dealer (Custom Chrome) because a shifting fork broke and than jammed between 2 gears & thankfully broke the drive belt at around 5 mph. Brought it to the shop 3 times and received the bike back 3 times with the same problem.. Revtech support is non-existent so the whole Revtech cluster & parts are going into the garbage. No, I do not wish to sell it and transfer my problems to some one else, it is going into the trash. With my experience with Revtech, I will never buy another product from them due to their support and a few years of experience .... END..

 

I wanted to do this conversion on my 1984 FXRT, not now thanks for the info.
