2017 FLHR w/M8.
Had the transmission gear casset replaced at 135 miles due to the trans imploding and completely lost third gear.
Now at 1500 miles, the Harley shop just informed me that they found metal in the trans fluid.
I wonder if something is going on that is not being talked about yet. Maybe I'm just the lucky one?
This seems to be a major problem that is just starting to surface.
I could not find much info on other similar issues so I thought I would throw it out there.

 

Trans is pretty much the same as 07 up twincams. They added a anti rattle gear to 1st that might be causing some weird oiling issues.

If you bike is moving oil to the primary, you might have emptied the tranny oil and it self destructed. Don't know.. IIRC there has been another that busted third gear trashed the inside from riding off road but it doesn't the issue doesn't seem to be that common..
