Default Pushrod/throw out bearing question

Hi all. Well I lost a belt this weekend on my 93 FLHS. When I heard the hours of labor I'd be charged to change it I've decided to take the job on myself. So here's my question. While removing the primary and pulling the clutch adjustment screw/locknut the Pushrod pulled right out with it. Does this mean I need to pull the right side tranny cover and find the retaining ring, two washers, and throw out bearing? Or is there something there to keep them in place so that I can just put the Pushrod back in just as easy as it came out?
