Final Drive - Evo/5 Speed
 

Ive got a 96 FXSTC. Supposed to have 32T Transmission & 65T RR wheel Sprocket.
Im thinking of going up to a 34T Transmission sprocket and down to a 61T RR wheel sprocket to lower the RPM's significantly at 65 MPH+ as Highway is what I travel most.
Question: Where can I find a 61T RR Wheel sprocket online? It has to be able to hold my 1-1/2"wide final drive belt & mount direct to my Stock FXSTC. I found on a site that some 93-99 Softails had 61T RR sprockets but did not designate what models exactly or anything, I would prefer to find a Used one.

So, no one knows of a 61 tooth final drive pulley available for the EVO FXSTC?

I bought my 1990 Glide new, here in the UK, so it is an International spec. It came with a 32T front pulley and 61T rear. That size was not used in North America AFAIK, so I suspect you will have difficulty finding one.

I now have stock US gearing of 32/70 as well as an S&S engine, with over 100/100! Gearing is fine and much improved over the original, which frankly was too tall and killed performance.

Turning to your bike, at 32/65 you already have pretty tall gearing IMHO. Going to 34/61 represents a further increase of 13%. Your bike is fine running at it's current engine speed and if you ride regularly on highways you should be wearing ear plugs. Best tuning aid known to man!

I would leave the rear alone and just change the front to a 34 you may find that will be enough. You have to remember that lower rpms on the highway will also be lower when you are taking off and you will need more clutch actuation to get going so don't dig yourself too deep of a hole.
