best sprocket setup for 65FLH

Hi, Gents hope this finds you well. I have acquired a 65 pan FLH all original. My questions are. What would be the best chain sprocket setup for me to get and better balance of top end and or bottom end.? If I end up taking tranny out for whatever reason. Any suggestions about gears would be helpful .And engine cam also.Being as I would like to really like ride this bike a local had suggested dropping in a electronic ignition and possibly a high volume oil pump. Any help or suggestions would be helpful. thanks P

It's a simple formula: take the rear sprocket tooth count and divide it by the trans sprocket tooth count. Examples:

A 51 rear and a 23 front will get you a 2.21
A 48 rear and 23 front will get you a 2.08
A stock EVO 5 speed has a nice middle of the road ratio of 2.18
To figure out what will be best for you, you have to consider what kind of riding you will be doing. If this is going to be a street light to street light racer then you want a high number like 2.21. If you are going to be on the highway a lot and want to keep the rpm's down you want a low number like 2.08. Or you can take the EVO path and find something in the middle to suit you. Hope this helps.
