Default 1965 panhead clutch problems

A friend of mine and I are trying to replace the clutch assembly on his
panhead. Our problem is we cannot get the clutch hub to come off the shaft. Do you need a puller, should it come off by hand? Any help please.

use a puller and after getting some pressure on sometimes you still have to give the puller a tap with a hammer. should come right off. i've done this a 100 times. keep track of the keyway that's in there.

thanks 4 reply. I did do just that. I used a outside puller, and the f#$%
thing bent. I guess that I could unscrew the gas cap and roll a new bike
under it.
