5 GoPro Action Camera Alternatives
#3
May I suggest the Innovv K1, as well. https://www.innovv.com/the-k
This is what I mounted on my Heritage. It has front and rear facing cameras that record separate files for each to an SD card in the main unit. The files just keep writing, new overwriting the old, within the space limitations of the SD card size. There's also a button you can mount that lets you mark the current file as read-only to prevent it from being overwritten.
The cameras are pretty small, and out of everything I researched prior to buying, I was glad I picked this one. I mention it in my blog post here: https://twowheelsonebike.wordpress.c...ing-your-bike/ though I've probably said more in this reply than I did on the blog post. (Post includes other upgrades, too.)
It's been great so far, and has an optional audible "Recording Started" when you power the bike on and a "Recording Stopped" message when you power the bike off again. Other than knowing where to put the base unit (ended up in my saddlebag), it's been great. I'd really like to get it OUT of the saddlebags and mounted somewhere better under the seat so I can actually detach the bags on days I ride to work, slim the Heritage down to a more Softail Slim/Deluxe look.
