Parts have been easy to find. There are parts catalogs for MGB's, online forums for sale and wanted sections, and ebay. I bought some nice doors on ebay but they were bent during shipment. They are rust free but now I have to do some bodywork on them. My sister has some new interior panels at her place. Once we clear out these sheds and make room she will bring over what she has and I'll climb up in the attic and get all the stuff down. I forget all that is up there. There is a chrome bumper kit up there. This is a rubber bumper car but it will have chrome bumpers installed and new chrome grill. The chrome bumper MGB's sat 2 inches lower than the rubber bumper MGB's. I have the leaf springs and coils that will lower it one inch. That will get her half of the way there - good enough for me! Those rubber bumpers are extremely heavy. All that extra weight is gone now.

I'm unsure how I will go about painting this thing. Just have to wait and see. I've never painted a car. Maybe I will paint the interior of the car and the trunk myself then drive it to MAACO for one of their paint jobs.

Believe it or not this car was once a show winner. Many years ago my sister had a boyfriend who owned an import auto service that specialized in MGB's. He gave her a bay to work on her car and she had the guidance of good mechanics. She can do a lot of this work herself. I told her that I would help, not do it for her.

I'm just waiting on her to come back over. If she doesn't come over, this car just isn't going to get done. I expect this will be a slow moving thread, lol.

I truly wish I had the time and money to do a restoration of a "B" I always wanted one of those cars. I hope she does not bail on you.
