Bike Trip 2015 - LA, MS, AR, TN
Just got back a few days ago from a 6 day 1500 mile 4 state ride. 15 guys in my crew from NY/NJ started in New Orleans on 2015 HD's (I was on the Road Glide Custom) and we rode through Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and Tennessee. 5 miles into the ride and the rain started. By our conservative estimate we rode over 600 miles through torrential rain and lightening storms! Actually had to change the route as reports showed roads around Eureka, AR were closed due to floods and mud slides, Including the Pig Trail (Route 23) regarded by many as one of the best roads in the US.
We did ride a couple hundred miles on the Natchez Trace, crossed the Pontchartrain Causeway Bridge which is the longest bridge over water in the world, and a ton of other fun roads. In spite of the rain we pushed the bikes hard and even managed to pin the speedo of the RG at 120 a couple of times.
BBQ in Arkansas was great, gambling on the riverboat in Natchez, was fun, and the food and partying on Beale Street in Memphis and the French Quarter was awesome.
The weather was so bad, our flights home were cancelled and we were "forced" to spend an extra night in the Big Easy. I think my liver is finally willing to start talking to me again.
Anyhow, weather and all it was a great trip. If you've never been to that part of the US, I highly recommend you go.

Wow! That could have been us. Last years bike trip was to CA and OR, and we spent one night in Klamath Falls. There were 12 of us on that trip.
