Anticipation!

Anticipation!
This is my first post on HDForums, although I've read the forum nearly every day for more than two years. So before I go further, I want to thank mowdoc and the others for exceptionally informative posts about Glencoe and other topics!
I feel like each big road trip is a constant thought in my mind for months, beginning with the first thoughts of planning. The anticipation has been growing all winter and spring, and now that I hit the road in less than 10 days the anticipation is growing exponentially!
This will be my 3rd Sturgis and my 2nd long solo trip.
My tentative plan:
I will pull out well before daybreak on 7/25. I'll ride from St. Louis, MO to North Platte, NE on day 1. Day 2 will be a bit shorter and end in Pinedale, WY just short of Teton National Park. Day 3 is less than 200 miles to allow time to enjoy the Tetons and Yellow Stone. I'm staying at Old Faithful Inn that evening. Day 4 will include the legendary Beartooth Pass on my way to Sturgis! I'll arrive in Sturgis that evening or early the next day. The only plan for the following 10 days is to ride, hang out with Glencoe friends from last year, ride some more, take in the sites on The Alley, make new friends, and ride some more!
Depending on interest, I intend to provide updates along the way!
To my Glencoe neighbors, give me a shout if you want to have a beer and swap stories from the road.
Keep the shiny side up.

Giacomo56 - I haven't been to Glacier, some year soon. Enjoy your trip!
BigDogIdaho - Saddle up and join us!
The anticipation and excitement are almost unbearable at this point! If I didn't have so much going on at work this week I'd leave today.
This morning, I Went to the post office to stop my mail for the 2 weeks I'll be on the road and went to the bank to get my cash for the trip. My clothes and camping gear are packed. One week from right now I should be close to Nebraska!
