On my way south. Stopped for a quick snack at a place called "Picture Turnout". No houses, odd place for a town. .....

What a day! Beautiful roads, weather was excellent, even the few drops of rain where nice. I rode from Green River Wyoming to Green River Utah. These are roads not to be missed. 530 on the West Side of Flaming Gorge is great. Big flat open plains, twisty road and a great mountain pass. 191 down to Vernal was just as nice. It's a big fast highway to Duchense and then it is another twisty piece and a mountain pass down to Helper. Then a big wide open valley from there to Green River. ..... But to the Picts .....

Lunch in the Unita Mtns just south of Flaming Gorge.

Yup, the sign says it all. Heading down into the valley where Vernal is.

West of Vernal. Big country, big sky, big weather

In the valley just south of Duchesne. Lots of oil rigs here. Twisty and fun.

Big mountains. Big weather.

I love the big weather. I had 3 different lighting storms around me today.

This might have been the most dangerous thing I did today. I shot this standing on the road, and that storm was coming towards me. And the lighting was starting to dance. Damn that was exciting!! It is a pano, and got chopped a bit, but I wasn't hanging around to see if I could get a better shot.

I got into a Motel 6 for a decent rate. They have a laundry here and it was laundry night. Tomorrow will be a big day. Moab, Monument Valley, Petrified Forest, and into Flagstaff. And oh ya, "Standing On A Corner In Winslow Arizona".

I would like to apologize for the spelling and grammatical errors. I forgot my keyboard so this is all thumb work. It is also the reason for the brevity of the text. Of course, that might be a blessing for the readers
