I am pretty sure what I did was run the choke too long and fouled the plugs. Oh well, thank heavens for HOG Step&FetchIt....

Weather looks good this next weekend.

For those that don't know, it is Thanksgiving in Canada then. One thing I do is insist all my employees don't work on Long weekends , the office closes down but my Instructors work alternating weekends as we train 7 days a week and if needed 12 hours a day.... and all summer we have been shuting down on the Fridays so everyone gets 4 days off.

So we shut down Thursday @ 3 and open up on Tuesday @ 9....

So..... if the weather holds, I just might do the following.... Cranbrook/Missoula/Lolo Pass/Lewiston/Nelson BC/Ferry & Kootenay Lake Rd/Creston/Cranbrook....

Take four days and loaf along. Most of it is Repeats, ThreePeats, ToManyToCountPeats. There is some "New" road in there.....so of course, it would be an open agenda and I would let the Road decide what I was doing.

Thanks Dennis, I am glad you are enjoying "Journeys". I was going to just stay home for October, but the weather looks good. It will be cool in the mornings, but I have gear for that. I will be packing up Thursday, and heading out Friday morning. I did not get a chance to run on Hwy 200 that connects Standpoint to Missoula so will head down to Bonner's Ferry, hook East on 2, then a south on 56 to 200 and head South East to Missoula.

If you read back to the beginning of the year, when I just got Darla2 and was on my break-in run, I was going to head North West on 200 back to Standpoint, but the snow in the hills at the Junction of 93 kept me heading West on I-90.

I got a trap line of motels along the planed route, so will stay in them as I go along.

Should be "Picture Heavy" ride.... Lots of fall colors. Maybe the Lolo will give me some good Picts, not just a great Twisty ride. I don't think I have done the Lolo, East/West yet this year.

I dunno, maybe I will even diverge from the planned route and run down through Hells Canyon like I did last fall. I haven't done her North/South yet this year either... at least I don't think so.... It is all getting kind of bleary in the mind..... LOL.....

About a 1,000 mile rounder, with an additional 400 for the detour through Hells Canyon.

I appreciate your posts, and the fact that I can keep checking in on your trips. Keep it up. Always nice to see the road and the pics of your journey!! As of now, I am looking forward to our (taking the wife along with other riders) run to Galveston for the Lone Star Rally in November!

Thanks. And sounds like a nice run! I am hoping to get to Texas in April.

Ya.... crap happens, no big ride this weekend. I went down to the shop and talked to Jay. He said he put in new spark plugs, primed 3 times, started in two kicks. .... so I just over chocked her, and fouled the plugs big time .....He then put it up on the work stand and did both oils. He pointed out that the oil line that goes to the primary chain is gone. It drips a small bit of oil onto the chain, and because the primary case won't really seal, it eventually drips onto the ground. He also talked to me about putting an oil filter unit onto the bike. We will do that this winter. I want to switch up the exhaust and put floor boards on, so that needs to get done first so we can sort out where to put the filter. Also, I want to put on an oil cooler, so all that plumbing needs to get sorted out at the same time.

The crew at Harley Davidson of the Kootenays love working on this old iron..... some shops won't touch anything older than 2,000's anymore.

I will pick her up tomorrow and ride this weekend.
